Because of the current situation in Ukraine, some tourists ask questions about safety of travelling to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and the likelihood of booked tours cancelation.
The answer is:
The situation is still unstable in the eastern part of Ukraine (700 - 800 kilometers away from Kiev and Chernobyl) where there is an armed confrontation between the Ukrainian army and Russian troops, which support terrorists of "The DNR" and "The LNR".
The map of events in Ukraine:
In Kiev and the region the situation is stable; the streets are peaceful and quiet, despite some media misinformation about anarchy and riots. Tourists from different countries, including Russia, visit with interest recent hotspots in the city center such as Independence Square and Hrushevskiy Street. Those places were cleaned. Independence Square itself was cleaned and scrubbed of traces of confrontations. The swept streets are strewn with thousands of flowers, candles and photographs of the victims appeared there.
Our tours to Chernobyl start from the usual place. Schedule of departures is not violated. We do not plan any changes in the schedule of departures due to the situation in the country.
The attitude to guests of Ukraine from other countries did not change, and still friendly.
